Baseball Opening Day 2011

Today was the opening day of Baseball season.

This is a very exciting time for several reasons.

Sports * Outside * Sunshine * food * friends * Cheering * and The Good old Ball Park!

Each team gets to decorate and ride in the back of a truck to the ball park. All the parents and friends line the street and cheer them on! It makes the boys feel pretty awesome kind of like they are little celebrities.

What fun traditions we have here, I love it!

Then each team gets introduced on the field.

And the sponsors along with the GYBA is recognized.

$1 hot dogs

A Game under the lights

Lots of Cheering

And Fireworks

All this makes for an exciting beginning of a new season!

This year is the first year with the new lights on the little league field. They are so awesome and will just help our fun summer hours at the ball park last a little longer each night!
