Avery can be found around the yard doing a variety of things with her baby bunny. From laying down on the porch bench to riding a bike...she's holding him all the time!

Easter Morning 2011

Here are the kids right before church today.

(um no despite the begging I did not let the girls wear their shades to church)

Yes my youngest is going to out weigh my oldest in no time!
He looks enormous on her :)

The kids started out the morning on a HUNT for their baskets....Tate's was finally found in the coat closet, Brecken's was in the safe, and Avery's was in the Oven. My kids Love this tradition. They also love to brag about their clever seeking and taunt the Easter Bunny to make it harder each year.

Each Easter basket had a special envelope that held a piece to the puzzle they had to put together.

Here's what they read when they put it together.

Crew was chillin just as happy as can be watching the older kids squeal and giggle.

They took off trying to spot their big gift....

Then they decided it was too cold and they wanted their coats...

Finally, they spotted what the Easter bunny had left...

This picture describes the moment perfectly!!

NEW BABY BUNNIES!!

The kids brought them in on a blanket and played with them for awhile before church.
Brecken named hers Ginger... then changed it to Hopper.
Tate named his Mid-night....then changed it to Rocky....
and has now changed it yet again to Mud-cat.
Avery named hers Snowflake...then found out it was a boy,
so she opted for a more masculine name and changed it to Whitey!
The kids were so surprised and so excited. They know I'm not an animal person and they realize how lucky they are that the Easter Bunny brought them a pet. Since they know I would never ever give them one!

Easter "Survivor"

Did you "SURVIVE" Easter? We sure did, and it was a total blast!

The blossoms are out and the grass is green again,
this means it's time to celebrate SPRING! And did we ever...
First came the traditional Easter Egg Hunt, this is a blast for the kids and they make bank on all the candy and money!

Then it was time to put our game faces on and split up into teams...everyone was divided into different teams.

Our family was divided up to represent four different teams.

The first challenge was the "TUG OF WAR" contest.
After each contest each team had to vote off a team member, who then had to be on the "voted off" team. after each challenge the "voted off" team would vote someone off. That person then had to be on kitchen duty and start preparing the food for everyone!

Next up was the "EGG TOSS"

In between the challenges I snapped some shots of Crew...we're so proud of all the new hair he has grown in such a short time lol.

The next challenge was the "Racing Puzzle Game."
One team member was running and getting one piece of the puzzle at a time while the others were putting it together.

"Surf's Up Dude" was the next challenge. At this point in the game you were actually at the advantage to have not voted off one of the younger littler kids! the surfer had to be carried across a certain finish line without touching his/her team members at all.
Last but not least the "Eating competition" Would you dare? We had a lovely assortment of:
Onions, Sardines, Lemons, Anchovies, Oysters, and Clams.
At this point I was so happy to be on Kitchen duty watching the BBQ, and taking pictures!

Onto more appetizing things... I loved all the fun fresh Spring food!
For dessert I made a bunch of Cake Pops.
They were so cute and so rich! and definitely a lot of fun!
